SEARCH FOR YOUR PERFECT HOLIDAY HOME

Porth Village and Beach

Lovely Porth Beach, a short walk from Newquay View Resort has level access and offers some gorgeous walks and sunsets around Porth Island.  Surfing is restricted during the summer months making Porth Beach a great place for swimming.  Your local pub, The Mermaid Inn overlooks the beach and there is also a cafe and tapas restaurant for you to discover as well as Roo's Beach which is full of gifts and clothing perfect for your new lifestyle by the sea!

Newquay's Beaches

As a beach paradise and the surfing capital of the UK, a holiday in Newquay would not be complete without visiting at least one of its stunning, golden sanded beaches. Walk across two miles of sand at Watergate Bay, mix with the wave riders on Fistral or dare to ride the zip wire at Lusty Glaze! Whichever beach you decide to visit, you won’t be disappointed.

Blue Surf School

Our friendly surf experts the Blue Surf School are located right here at Newquay View Resort and offer surf lessons for couples, groups, singles and the whole family.  They've got plenty of surf equipment for hire including surfboards, bodyboards, wetsuits, and handplanes.

Walks and Bike Rides

The local area is brilliant for both walks and bike rides through the countryside and along the coast.  Walkers can reach the SW Coast path from Porth Beach, there are pretty woodlands to discover or you can ramble across dramatic Bodmin Moor.  Cyclists also have a great choice from family friendly cycle tracks such as the Camel Trail or off road trails at nearby Lanhydrock and Cardinham Woods.

Fifteen Cornwall

Overlooking the beach at Watergate Bay on the north coast of Cornwall, Jamie Oliver's Fifteen Cornwall is just a short drive from Newquay View Resort and offers a unique blend of exceptional food, dedicated service and an inspiring commitment to make a difference in young people’s lives.

Serving bold, bright, seasonal Italian dishes packed full of flavour and served with a Cornish twist Fifteen Cornwall is renowned in the local area.  All the profits from Fifteen Cornwall go to its registered charity, Cornwall Food Foundation and together they manage an award-winning Apprentice Programme.

History, Heritage and Culture

Cornwall's history can be explored throughout the County with the Unesco World Heritage site protecting and enabling visitors to discover out mining past and some beautiful houses and buildings to explore.  Trerice Manor is our closest National Trust property but Lanhydrock and Tintagel Post Office are also easily accessible.

You can join in with Cornwall's culture by attending one of the many traditional festivals that are still celebrated across the county.  Alternatively you might enjoy a concert in an unusual venue such as Carnglaze Caverns or overlooking the Eden Project's Biomes; or want to take in some outdoor theatre, which Cornwall is well known for.

Golf Courses

The quality of Cornwall's golf courses is exceptional and many on the North Coast offer some fantastic scenery whilst you play your round.  Newquay View Resort has a 9 hole course right on our doorstep at Treloy but also has two picturesque 18 hole courses close by at Newquay Golf Club and Holywell Golf Club.  Holywell, as well as offering an 18 hole par 3 course, has an 18 hole pitch and put course which has some brilliantly challenging fairways, even incorporating teeing off a cliff!

Bars and Restaurants

Newquay and its surrounding bays are blessed with a wealth of bars and restaurants. With popular high street brands such as Prezzo and the Stable available as well as excellent quality independent businesses too.  There are many cuisines on offer including Thai, top notch fish and chips and of course fresh and locally caught fish and seafood.  If you fancy after dinner drinks there are also some exceptional bars and pubs to cater for all tastes.  The variety available will ensure that you have something new to discover every time you visit your holiday home.

Gardens

Cornwall has some world famous gardens including the Lost Gardens of Heligan and the Eden Project.  Many offer a 12 month visitor pass to enable you to watch the changes through the seasons.  Closest to Newquay View Resort is the Japanese Garden which is an oasis of calm tranquility and has been created in accordance with the philosophy of the East.

Spas and Wellbeing

Newquay is rich with spa hotels, so you can choose from a wide range of treatment packages and options.  From the World Class Scarlet Hotel where you can indulge in a wood fired hot tub and a stunning natural swimming pool to the lovely nearby Sands Resort who offer spa treatments from £30 and beauty treatments from just £8.

Family Friendly Attractions

If you are investing in a Holiday Home for all of the family Newquay is well placed for family friendly attractions.  The town itself gives families the opportunity to get close to wildlife through Newquay Zoo and the Blue Reef Aquarium and has its very own Pirate adventure at Pirate's Quest.  For a full day out with rides and giant play areas Camel Creek Adventure Park is very close by or you can take to the water at Retallick Water Park for a "Total Wipeout Experience" or try wake boarding.

Shopping

Newquay Town Centre has major supermarkets, high street chains and also some great surf and lifestyle clothing stores so all of your immediate needs can be catered for within a 5 minute drive.  However, a 30 mintue drive will bring you to the beautiful cathedral city of Truro which mixes independent shops with big brand stores, offers a great choice of restaurants and cafes and holds a popular farmers' market twice a week.
