Peter Bull Resorts ltd. take your privacy seriously and will only use your personal information to administer your account and provide the products, services and information that you have requested from us.

Who are we?

Peter Bull Resorts ltd. is a group of holiday parks situated in Cornwall and we are a registered data Controller and our registration reference is: ZA032777.  Our registered address is: Trevelgue Road, Porth, Newquay TR8 4AS and our company number is: 08705557.  The Peter Bull Resorts Group consists of trading subsidiaries including Newquay View Resort, Bude Holiday Resort and Widemouth Fields.  Our Data Protection officer is: Mr. A. Vickery.

What information do we collect from you?

The personal information that we collect from you depends on the product, service or information that you are requesting from us but might include:

  1. Your contact details including name, address, email and phone number
  2. Details of your purchase or service requirements
  3. Your car registration number
  4. Passport data
  5. A record of your purchases made with Peter Bull Resorts or any subsidiary parks
  6. IP address and information on website pages accessed and when, browser type used and version, location and time settings (see section on Cookies).
  7. Profile data including products and parks favoured, duration and frequency of stay, products and services interested in, dates of visits and lifestyle preferences.

If you make a card payment with us your card details will not be stored by us, it will be collected by our third-party payment processors who specialise in secure capture and processing of card payments.  If you make your booking through, card details are transferred to Peter Bull Resorts where they are held on file in a secure location and shredded after we have processed the information.

Why we need this information?

We need to collect this information from you in order to complete the following business activities:

  1. Providing product or service information as requested by you
  2. Processing purchases that you have submitted and fulfilling our contractual obligations to you
  3. Keeping you informed as to any changes or problems with your purchase of products or services
  4. Meeting our legal obligations
  5. Ensuring that information we provide to you on our products and services is relevant and of specific interest to you.
  6. Enabling you to log in to your account, pay balances and view purchase history
  7. Ensuring that we are able to maximise your safety when using our products and or services

  9. Seeking your views or comments on the services and/or products that we have provided

  11. Carrying out direct marketing activity, (only on request), including e-newsletters, review requests, postal campaigns, text marketing and retargeting adverts.

Our Legal basis for processing this information?

We collect information from you in order to fulfil our contractual obligations to you and to keep you informed of any important information pertaining directly to that contract.

Sometimes information is collected to help us fulfil our legal obligations.

Marketing activity and feedback requests will only be carried out once explicit consent has been provided by you.

The following information is collected as we believe that the following legitimate interests are in place:

Car registration number - we believe there is a legitimate interest in us having this information so that we can ensure the safety of all people on site by monitoring vehicles parked on site and inform owners of vehicles if they are required to move their vehicle for any reason.

Contact details and product preferences – where you have requested us to contact you with information on our products and services; or indicated to one of our third party partners that you would like to receive information on our products and services, there is a legitimate interest in us processing the information that you provide in order to respond to your initial request and contact you with any updates or changes in that information.  We will ensure that these are relevant to your initial interest and you will be able to request for us to remove your information at any time.

CCTV Footage – A legitimate interest exists in us collecting CCTV footage on our holiday parks to ensure that we are able to protect the health and safety of all of our staff and guests and security of property as well as respond to any information requests from the Police.

Where we get this data from?

We collect data from yourself either in person, over the phone, by email or online through our website.  We may collect some of this information when you are using our website through the use of Cookies (see section on Cookies).

We also may have received this information through one of our third-party partners such as online travel agents, local travel information companies, holiday home manufacturers, event listing websites or holiday and holiday home listing sites who process bookings and information requests on our behalf. 

At times we use data such as postcodes to gather demographic and profile information to help us analyse our business activities and to ensure that our marketing campaigns are relevant to the intended audience.

How long do we keep your data?

We make every effort to store your data securely and have put in place all reasonable security measures to safeguard the physical and electronic processing of your data.  These procedures are reviewed and updated regularly.


With your consent we may analyse the information that you provide to us or use information available from external sources to help build an idea of your preferences and interests.  This helps us to send you relevant communications and direct marketing as well as analyse the effectiveness of our business. 

International Transfer

Some of the third-party providers that we use to carry out activities on our behalf store information on servers outside of EU.  Where this is the case we have reviewed our agreements with them to ensure that their practices comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulations.

Your Rights

You have the right to make a complaint at any time to the Information Commissioners Office (ICO), the UK supervisory authority for data protection issues.  However, you can also contact us directly with any concerns and we will endeavour to solve any issues as quickly as possible.
